Awhile back, my account went by a different moniker.

"iX" used to be owned by a dead account. I'm talking dead, as in it had basically been made, accessed once, and then never again.

After politely asking the staff, they kindly transferred the name 'iX' to me.

Shout out to them for doing that; I'm pretty sure they do not do that anymore for reasons, but they did it once upon a time for me, and I'll forever be grateful for that.

Fun fact: it comes from a non-canon Megaman X character by the same name, which was basically a "negative" copy of X. I had been inspired to take it by an artist who briefly existed and then mysteriously vanished from the internet some time ago. That artist went by the name of "Program-00X," and a portrait made from one of their pieces used to be my avatar.

To this day, I don't know what happened to them,and I never positively identified any art by them appearing on the internet after they closed their DeviantART account.

Some time later, I arbitrarily decided to change my avatar to Dean McCoppin from The Iron Giant, because he's a younger middle-aged dude just trying to do his thing and I related to that.

And that's the story no one asked to hear of how I came to be who I am on Newgrounds today, along with a modest thank you to the Newgrounds staff for their kindness, and a shameless plug to a long-dead internet artist.
